1- Select a main Keyword of very high CPC around which your entire blog will be made. For example the keyword ' Insurance' is a good example. If you are getting high competition no problem because this will not be your target keyword.
2- Now after selecting your main Keyword, You need to use Google Keyword Planner ( which is a free tool ) to search for long tail keywords. To use Keyword Planner smartly you can filter the country during search which you want to target. Then Keyword Planner will provide you many long tail keywords. You need to search atleast 5 to 10 long tail keywords with search volume of more than 10K and with low competition and with a CPC of $1 to $10 ( In starting don't go for high CPC because you will not rank easily ).
3- Now when you will get long tail keywords you need to do a little more research on them so to do that use a VPN and connect to the country from where you were searching for long tail keywords in Keyword Planner. Now search that long tail keywords which you have finalized in Google and visit top 10 sites that come on the first page. Then if you have Aherf then it is good but without that also you can try some tree tools to completely analyse your opponent site like finding his monthly traffic and total backlinks and then when you have complete information of your opponent site you can rank your easily by doing more than he has done.
4- Then After doing everything you are ready with your final long tail keywords which have high CPC and high search volume with low competition.
